About the Instructor
Kale Olson Reed grew up learning violin in the Suzuki method from his father, John Reed, and playing in school orchestras from the 5th grade on. Because of his training, Kale finds the Suzuki method the most appropriate method for him to teach. He graduated from Red Wing High School in 2002 and from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota in 2006 with a degree in Violin Performance.
In addition to studying violin, Kale has also studied mandolin, bass, auxiliary percussion and vocals. He has been a performer, manager, recording artist, guest soloist, and since 1999, a private violin instructor. He currently instructs violin students at the West Bank School of Music on the University of Minnesota campus and will begin teaching violin in the Suzuki Method in Red Wing beginning October 2007.
